Whatever you "keep saying" the same happens
eg1 : suppose you try to keep saying
"the bus should come on time today..the bus should come on time today.."
and the bus comes on time .. ..did that bus come on time because you said it or it just happened randomly
eg 2 : suppose you wanted to get promotion in your job and kept saying
" i should get a promotion this year / this term"
and you get it .. did it happen randomly

what it means is that when you repeat a statement you are trying to make adjustments for yourself
Your body responds to what you talk continuously .. so when you say "the bus should come on time " you are making adjustments to yourself in such a way that yoy will arrive at the bus stop very early to the time so that you will never miss the bus .. the same when you ask for a promotion again and again within yourself you are subconsciously chaning your habits so that you will meet the expectations of your boss...
